Ex Owned
When asked to create the concept for the forthcoming Christmas card and client party, my immediate response was to challenge the brief. Rather than just 'changing the wrapping paper on the same old gift' that we've done for the last few years along with every other agency in town, let's do something different, something with more merit!
Ex owned was born, a pop-up charity boutique that opened for business in the weeks running up to Christmas, stocked through the generosity of our 100+ employees along with some truly one off gifts donated by our clients. These included a Damien Hirst customised Yamaha dirt bike, VIP Glastonbury passes, Visionaire Catalogues, Michelin Chef coming to your home to cook dinner for you and your friends, Limited Edition Levi's® Japanese Denim, Luxury Camper Van for a weekend, Autographed Michael Owen Boots, Polar Explorer Expedition gear, Jonny Borrell's jeans, Stella McCartney dress etc etc...
gladly the list went on!
The obligatory christmas card was housed along side a request for donations, a name your price card, a tote bag in which to send your donations in and finally an invitation to the opening night auction which also doubled up as Christmas client party!
Ex owned was such a huge success it went on to become an annual event, raising more
than £65,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. The monies raised has allowed them to purchase 2 incubators along with lots of other vital equipment.
